 Introduction
 Almost everybody thinks of their childhood with nostalgia. Childhood is a special period in everybody's life. Once gone, it can never come back. In this poem Markus Natten wonders. When he lost his childhood. He thanks of a few stages in his lifetime. When there was a change in his thoughts and perception of the world around him of course, he does not talk about the physical changes that came over him as grew up.
Summary
 The poet of a few stages in his growing up from childhood into maturity.

 As a child, he believed that Hell and Heaven were real. But when he was about twelve, he realized that they were imaginary places and did not exist. He wonders if it was the time when he lost his childhood.

 Again, he believed in what the adults preached and advised him. But he began to find a discrepancy in what adults said and what they actually practiced. He discovered their hypocrisy. He wonders if it was the time when he lost his childhood.
