The types of brief questions that are important in the 10th grade CBSE test are:

QUESTION. How can we clearly see far and near things? Which part of the eye helps to change the curve of the lens? Why does the image not appear in a blind spot?

ANS. We can clearly see far and near things because of their attractive properties. Position is the name given to the ability of the lens of the eye to change its focal length and to place images that focus on distant and near objects on the retina.

Mushroom muscles help to change the curvature of the lens. It is fixed to the lens and contracted or edited to change the shape and curve of the lens.

No image is formed in the blind spot because there are no photoreceptors, i.e. cones and bars to detect light and send it to the brain.

The answer.

(A) If the image is true, it will be flipped, which means that the image height will be considered negative. Also, the height of the object is always positive.
Now as Zoom = Image Height / Object Height.

So, in the case of the real image,
Magnification = Image Height (-) / Object Height (+) = Negative.
Therefore, the magnification will be negative.
Likewise, if the image is default, it will be installed.

So, in the case of the default image,
Zoom = Image Height (+) / Object Height (+) = Positive
Therefore, the magnification will be positive.

(B) A convex mirror is commonly used in vehicle rear-view mirrors because it gives a finished, realistic and large image of distant objects with a wider field of view. Consequently, convex mirrors enable the driver to display much more space which is not possible with a concave mirror.

Q: (a) What are Magnetic Field Lines? How is the direction of the magnetic field at a certain point determined?

(B) Draw two field lines around a strip magnet along its sides and mark the directions of the fields on it with arrow signs.

(A) Magnetic field lines are the pictorial representation of the strength and direction of the magnetic field.

The direction of the magnetic field can be found at some point by placing a small magnetic compass at that point. The northern end of the compass needle indicates the direction of the magnetic field at its point of position.

(B) The magnetic field lines of the strip magnet exit from the North Pole and end at the South Pole. Within the magnet, field lines appear from the south pole and terminate at the north pole, as shown in the specific figure.

(A) Our stomach has a pH equal to 2. Antacids neutralize the excess acid in the body and reduce hyperacidity. Sodium hydrogen carbonate is an antacid.
(B) The pH will decrease as it turns to curd because the curd is acidic due to the presence of lactic acid.
(C) Preparation of curd takes longer because bacteria do not work well in the presence of sodium hydrocarbons, i.e. fermentation will happen slowly.
(D) Toothpastes are essential in nature. It neutralizes the acid formed in the mouth that causes tooth decay.

Q. Eight atoms have elements A. B. C. D, E, F. G and H have the same number of electronic shells but a different number of electrons in the outermost shell. It was found that elements A and G combine to form an ionic compound. This compound is added in a small amount to almost all vegetable dishes during cooking. Oxides of elements A and B are essential in nature while E and F oxides are acidic. D oxide is almost nervous. Based on the above information, answer the following questions:

(i) The listed chemicals belong to third period; it includes Na, Mg, Al, Si, P, S, Cl& Ar.

(ii) Compound formed by the combination of B (Mg) and F (S) will result in formation of salt called MgSO4

(iii) Compound A (Na) and B (Mg) are definitely metals as their oxides are basic in nature.

(iv) Element H (Ar), is likely to be found in gaseous state at room temperature as it is the 8th element of the group so it would have 8 electrons in its outermost shell which is the electronic configuration of an Nobel gas. 

(v) They will form AlCl3 (Aluminium chloride)
