I expanded this poetry on March 17, 2021. I was looking back and remember that it was a rushed and unfinished poem. I didn't know how to continue it back then, but I knew that this piece was always meant to be longer.
A Korean movie, Parasite, is the first foreign movie to have won the best picture in Oscar. I haven't watched it myself, but from what I've heard the movie is a commentary of today's society and capitalism. And so, I want to write something with similar tone.
I get anxious whenever I get into a crowd of people who know me. I don't mind it much when it is a crowd of strangers though. I prefer to be on my own. I think it also applies to those who feel lonely. Loneliness is not only about the number of people which are around, but also the number of people who acknowledge your existence.
