Are the nerds enjoying all this social distancing a little too much?

This Babylon Bee guy obviously doesn't like nerds, but he may have a good point or two. The game playing nerds might be enjoying all of this social distancing thing too much.

"""
U.S.—The nation's nerds woke up in a utopia this morning, one where everyone stays inside, sporting events are being canceled, and all social interaction is forbidden.

All types of nerds, from social introverts to hardcore PC gamers, welcomed the dawn of this new era, privately from their own homes.

Notice, however, that Babylon Bee focuses his criticisms on game playing nerds, not on programmers. The latter may be up to something more productive, but also possibly dangerous.

In particular, the AI/VirtualReality programmer nerds may be up to something that offers both promise and peril.

For example, with all of this time on their hands, Kurzweil and his legions of programmer nerds may actually bring off The Singularity - their high-tech Rapture of the Nerds.

And, it will be virus free ... well, free of biological viruses.

So, according to the Singularity buffs, if you like sports, dance, exploring the outdoors, and completely safe social interactions, then you should support your local AI/VirtualReality programmers.
