Neet 2020 & JEE Mains 2020 Application Correction Window Date Extended
NTA NEET, JEE Main 2020 Update: After receiving guidelines from the Ministry of Human Resource Development [MHRD], the National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the last date for Correction in Application and replacing the examination center for the candidates of NEET 2020 Exam and JEE Main 2020 Exam.
Earlier it was 14 April but now it has been increased to 3 May 2020. Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said in a tweet that the decision has been taken after repeated requests from many candidates and parents. At the same time, due to increasing lockdown till May 3, the admit card of NEET will also not be issued in April month.
Significantly, due to the coronavirus lockdown, both the engineering entrance exam JEE Main and the Medical Entrance Examination NEET were delayed till the last week of May 2020. JEE Main was earlier scheduled to be held online on 5, 7, 9 and 11 April. While Neet was scheduled to take place on 3 May.
The NTA had issued a notice regarding NEET saying that NEET Admit Card 2020 will be issued only after April 15 on review of the situation. But due to increasing lockdown (due to corona), NEET Admit cards will not be issued in April. MBBS and BDS courses run in medical colleges across the country are admitted through the NEET entrance examination.
The JEE Main Exam is conducted for admission in BTech, BE courses in NIT, IIIT, and other centrally financed technical institutes across the country, etc. It is held twice a year. JEE Main-1 was held from January 06 to January 09. The exam results were declared on January 17 and January 23, 2020. The rankings will be decided on the basis of both NTA scores (January's JEE Main Score and April's JEE Main Score) after the April JEE Main 2020 exam.
