1) Mirza Ghalib was a classical Urdu and Persian poet in India during British colonial rule.
2) after the revolt of 1857, the area around the fort was completely cleared of gardens and mosques. In the 1870, the western walls of Shahjahanabad were broken to establish the railway and to allow the city to expand beyond the walls. the British now started living in the extensive Civil Lines areas that came up in the north, away from the Indians in the walled city.
