How to apply for admission  in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya for Class XI 2021 ?

Online applications are invited from eligible students for admission to Class XI against the vacant seats likely to be available in JNVs during the academic year 2021-22. Admission will be made on the basis of performance of students in Class X Board Examination by CBSE/State Education/other recognized Board.

Objective:

The main objective of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti as set forth in the Memorandum of Association are:

To Provide good quality modern education including a strong component of culture, inculcation of values, awareness  of the environment, adventure activities and physical education to the talented children predominantly from the rural areas, without regard to their family’s socio-economic condition.

To ensure that all students of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti attain a reasonable level of competence in three language as envisaged in Three Language Formula.

To serve, in each district as focal point for improvement in the quality of school education in general, through sharing of experiences and facilities, and

To promote National Integration through migration of students from Hindi to Non-Hindi speaking state and vice-versa.

Eligibility:

 Date of Birth of the candidate is to be between 1^st June 2003 to 31^st May 2007 (Both days inclusive). This is applicable to all categories of candidates including those who belong to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

The candidates must have passed Class X from a recognized school (affiliated to CBSE or any other State Education/other recognized Board) of the state where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is located during the academic session 2020-21.

Criteria for Admission of Students in Class XI :

Admission of students will be made against available vacancies in Class XI on the basis of marks secured by students in Class X Board Examinations by CBSE / State Education/ other recognized Board  during academic session 2020-21.

Selection procedure of students will be done as per following steps:

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti will prepared a District-wise merit list and students will be selected against the vacancies. 

 After selecting students against the vacancies in the JNV of the concerned district, a common merit list will be prepared at State level. After step a) the vacancies exist in any of the JNV of the same State will be filled from the State level merit list  by considering the option exercised by the candidate.

 After selection by step a) & b), if the selected candidate does not join even after making all efforts, vacant seats will be filled only from State level merit list.

The selected students will be informed by the Principal of the concerned JNV by SMS/ Speed post.

Newly admitted students have to undergo medical check-up by the Vidyalaya Doctor whether Students is suffering from infectious disease/serious ailments, shall not be admitted. 

Ten days orientation programme will be arranged for newly admitted students to bridge the learning gaps and to adapt them for new environment.

How to Apply for Admission in Class-XI in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya

The candidate can fill the online application form directly on NVS website www.navodaya.gov.in from (13.08.2021). While education in the schools is free including boarding, lodging,  uniforms  and  textbooks,  a  nominal  fee  is  collected  from  the students  of  Classes  IX  to  XII  only as per NVS policy.   However, children belonging to SC/ST, Girls and from families whose income is below poverty line (BPL) are exempted from payment of fee. The last date to apply is (31.08.2021)

GUIDELINES FOR UPLOADING JNVST 2021 ONLINE APPLICATION FORM:

The online application form for admission to Class VI in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is self-explanatory. However, following guidelines may be specifically kept in view by the students and their parents/guardians.

1. Please read the Prospectus carefully. Fill in complete information after ensuring that the candidate fulfills all the prescribed requirements such as date of birth within  specified range (Update Soon), schooling in classes III, IV & V in recognized institution(s). (Govt. / Govt. Aided / Recognized / NIOS).

2.Carefully fill the certificate to be uploaded along with the application form with 
regard to category i.e. General, SC, ST, OBC & Divyang, Boy/Girl and Rural/Urban. 
If it is found at the time of admission that a candidate has opted a category to 
which he/she does not actually belong, his/her selection is liable to be cancelled.

3. (a) Mention the date of birth in figures as well as in words. Write correct Date of Birth as per school records. In case, if it is observed at a later stage that the Date of Birth of the candidate does not match with the school records his/her candidature is liable to be rejected.

(b) Permanent identification marks which can be identified clearly shall be mentioned in the Application Form by the candidate.

4. Signature of both, the candidate and the parent / guardian should be uploaded 
while applying for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test.

5. The last date to submit online application for test is (Update Soon)

CAUTION: Application form is liable for rejection, if columns are left blank or the entries are incomplete. Applicants should ensure that they fulfill all the prescribed requirements of education, age, categories (SC/ST/OBC/Divyang) and area (Urban/Rural) wherever applicable. If any information given in the online application form is found to be false / incorrect on subsequent verification, even after the selection of the candidate, the admission is liable to be cancelled and the decision of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti will be final and binding. No correspondence shall be entertained in this regard. Such admissions, if any, obtained by any candidate on the basis of false certificate / declaration / information shall not only be cancelled but Samiti also reserves the right to recover the expenditure incurred on a student during his/her entire stay in a Vidyalaya.

सत्र 2020 21 जवाहर नवोदय विद्यालय के आवेदन पत्र  में सभी जानकारी भरने के बाद अपने स्कैन किया हुवा JPG फोम में उम्मीदवार के हस्ताक्षर  माता - पिता के हस्ताक्षर  उम्मीदवार की तस्वीर  माता-पिता और उम्मीदवार द्वारा हस्ताक्षरित प्रमाणपत्र अपलोड करना हैं।

 ENTRANCE EXAMINATION CRAZE IN STUDENTS

    Students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya are viewed with respect in society because of having faced competitive examination. Their foundation of becoming a good citizen with a secure future is laid firmly here. All facilities including food, clothes and boarding is provided free of cost. It is a big source of attraction to the students form rural areas. For the parents of the students, the main attraction is good quality modern education through English medium which would make them fit for better job opportunities in future.

Entrance Exam Date of Class VI JNVST 2021:

    Entrance Examination of JNVST- 2021Class VI which also known as Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test for Class VI is scheduled to be held on 16th May 2021 in all JNVs except JNVs of Mizoram, Nagaland and Meghalaya.

   
     For every Navodaya Vidyalaya, a maximum of 80 and a minimum of 40 students are selected for admission in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya.
    The students must have passed their III, IV, V classes from a Government financed school or form a school notified in the rural area. Admission is open only to those students who are able to present a certificate indicating their domicile, and letter of permission from parents and other certificates.
 
 
    The most important thing for students who are willing to fill online application for entrance exam in JNV is they can fill application form only in the district where students is presently studying. 
 
 General Eligibility:

    For admission in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas in class 6th, the candidates should be between 9-13 years on May 1 of the year of examination.
 
    For the students from rural areas, the educational qualification studying in Class V  current year from any of the schools or institutions recognized by the Government. 
    The students are allowed to participate in the competitive examination just one in class VI.

Admission in Class VI:

    Admission in JNVs is mainly open to Class-VI on the basis of Selection Test designed and conducted by an external agency. the test is called the Jawahar Navodaya Selection Test (JNVST). It is of Non-verbal nature, class neutral and suit the requirement of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti to identify the talented students predominately from rural areas of the districts.

    अनुसूचित जातियों के बच्चों के पक्ष में सीटों का आरक्षण और अनुसूचित जनजातियों को उनकी जनसंख्या के अनुपात में प्रदान किया जाता है । जिले से संबंधित बशर्ते कि किसी भी जिले में ऐसा आरक्षण कम नहीं होगा राष्ट्रीय औसत (एससी के लिए 15% और एसटी के लिए 7.5%) की तुलना में कम है  दोनों श्रेणियों (एससी और एसटी) के लिए अधिकतम 50% एक साथ लिया गया। इन आरक्षण विनिमेय हैं और उम्मीदवारों के ऊपर और ऊपर ओपन मेरिट के तहत चयनित।

Reservation Seats of OBC for admission in JNV: 

 OBC छात्रों को 27% आरक्षण ऊपर और ऊपर प्रदान किया जाएगा एससी और एसटी का आरक्षण। ओबीसी छात्रों को आरक्षण दिया जाएगा  केंद्रीय सूची के अनुसार, समय-समय पर लागू होता है। ओबीसी केंद्रीय सूची में शामिल नहीं होने वाले उम्मीदवार सामान्य उम्मीदवार के रूप में आवेदन करेंगे।

कुल सीटों में से न्यूनतम एक तिहाई लड़कियों द्वारा भरी जाती हैं। दिव्यांग बच्चों के लिए आरक्षण का प्रावधान है (अर्थात आर्थोपेडिकली हैंडिकैप्ड, हियरिंग इम्पेयर और विजुअली विकलांग) भारत सरकार के मानकों के अनुसार।

"ब्लाइंडनेस" एक ऐसी स्थिति को संदर्भित करता है, जहां व्यक्ति किसी से पीड़ित होता है
 निम्नलिखित स्थितियाँ: -

 (i) दृष्टि की कुल अनुपस्थिति; या
 (ii) बेहतर आंखों में दृश्य तीक्ष्णता 6/60 या 20/200 (स्नेलन) से अधिक नहीं है  लेंस को सही करना; या 
(iii) दृष्टि के क्षेत्र की सीमा 20 डिग्री या उससे अधिक के कोण को घटाते हुए।
  "सुनवाई हानि" का अर्थ है बेहतर कान में साठ डेसिबल या उससे अधिक की हानि आवृत्तियों की संवादात्मक सीमा। "लोकोमोटिव विकलांगता" का अर्थ है हड्डियों के जोड़ों या मांसपेशियों की विकलांगता अंगों या मस्तिष्क के किसी भी रूप के आंदोलन के लिए पर्याप्त प्रतिबंध पक्षाघात।

 "विकलांगता के साथ व्यक्ति" का अर्थ है चालीस प्रतिशत से कम नहीं पीड़ित व्यक्ति  किसी भी प्राधिकारी द्वारा
 प्रमाणित होना चाहिए कि किसी भी विकलांगता का 40% से कम नहीं है।

Documents Required for Admission in Navodaya Vidyalaya :

The following documents required at the time of admission in class VI:

The parents of the candidates who are provisionally selected for admission will have to submit the following documents at the time of admission for verification: -

i) Proof for date of birth.  

ii) Proofs for eligibility as per the conditions of NVS.  

iii) For candidates seeking admission under rural quota, the parents will also  

     have to submit a certificate from the competent authority to the effect that the           child had studied in an Institution / School located in a rural area.

iv) Residence Certificate in prescribed proforma in case of NIOS studies only  

v) Any other documents required. 

01. Duly filled prescribed format of student.

02. Original & photo copy of cast certificate if candidate belongs to SC/ST category.

03. Original & photo copy of result card of class 5th.

04. Original & photo copy of Transfer Certificate of 5th class duly countersigned by District. Basic Education Officer and the same will be deposited after receiving the final information for entrance.

05. Medical fitness certificate of student, issued by medical officer of the vidyalaya. if the student appears to be more age or the principal feel it necessary, then the student can be referred for medical fitness, t the Chief Medical Officer, whose expenses will also be borned by the guardian, in this regard, the decision of special entrance Committee formed by the Distt. Magistrate, will be final.

06. Four pass port size photographs of student.

07. Certificate showing the location of vidyalaya situated in rural/urban, issued by concerned Tehsildar or Educational Officer.

08. General and OBC. students have to pay Rs. 600/- per month as Navodaya Vidyalaya Vikas Nidhi Fees from class IX onwards. They will be exempted from fee if they have a BPL (Below Poverty Live) certificate signed by District Magistrate.

The candidate can be rejected, if you will not present in the vidyalaya on the fixed date, alongwith the desired documents.

Selection in the test will not vest any right on the candidate to secure admission into the JNV. At the time of seeking actual admission, each  selected candidate will have to produce all relevant certificates, as  prescribed by the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.
 Until admission, the selection  is provisional only. Candidates are advised to apply for TC from parent school only after the verification of documents and confirmation of admission by the respective JNV.  

 In case of any dispute, the decision of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti shall be final and binding on the candidates. Marks obtained by candidates (both selected and not selected) in the test are not communicated. 

There is no provision for re-evaluation of the answer scripts or re-totalling of marks, since the result is processed through computer and sufficient care is taken to ensure accuracy through various checks while processing the result. 

It may also be noted by the candidates and their parents/guardians that under the scheme of NVS, students of a JNV located in Hindi speaking State may have to be migrated to another JNV in Non-Hindi Speaking State and vice-versa for one academic year when the students are promoted to Class IX. 

In case of refusal by the students/ parents selected for migration, continuation of such students in JNV will not be allowed. 

The candidates and their parents/ guardians may note that the children selected on the basis of the Test will be admitted only in the JNV located in the district from where they are studying in class V and appearing for the JNVST.

Under no circumstances, the selected candidate will be given  admission to any other JNV. 

No request for shifting of students on account of  medium of instruction in the JNV concerned, shifting of parents/guardians to  other districts / States etc. will be entertained.  

Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Other 

Backward Class (OBC) will have to produce a certificate of  Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/OBC at the time of seeking admission, if  selected. The students selected under OBC quota have to submit OBC  certificate as per prescribed format of Central List (Copy Annexed).

Such  certificate should be obtained from the competent authority before 30th  March of the year of seeking admission so that it may be submitted to the  Principal of JNV concerned at the time of verification of document. For  example, candidates seeking admission during 2021-22 should get the certificate on or before 30th March 2021.

 Candidates applying for admission under Rural Category will have to produce a certificate to the effect that the school(s) where candidates  studied classes III,IV and V is located in Rural Area. 

Candidates belonging to the Divyang category (Orthopedically Handicapped, Hearing Impaired and Visually Handicapped), if selected ,  will have to produce a medical certificate signed by Chief Medical Officer  of the District concerned at the time of admission in appropriate format.  

Candidates belonging to transgender category will have to submit a certificate from the competent authority prescribed by the concerned State  Govt. with regard to their gender. No reservation is made for this category

01. My son is studying in rural area school but we are residence in urban area for admissions in JNV 6th class whether he will be counted in rural quota or urban quota.

जवाहर नवोदय विद्यालय में प्रवेश के लिए ग्रामीण क्षेत्र में पढ़ने वाले विद्यार्थियों कोलाभ ज्यादा मिलता हैं  अगर हम शहरी क्षेत्र के बच्चों से उनकी तुलना करें तो।  क्योंकि जवाहर नवोदय विद्यालय का उद्देश्य है कि  वह ग्रामीण क्षेत्र में पढ़ने वाले विद्यार्थी जो अच्छी शिक्षा नहीं ले पाते उनके लिए नवोदय विद्यालय खोला गया था।और अगर हम बात करें कि कोई विद्यार्थी ग्रामीण क्षेत्र के स्कूल में पढ़ रहा है और वह किसी शहरी इलाके में रहता है तो जवाहर नवोदय विद्यालय में मेरिट किस आधार पर बनेगी।

जवाहर नवोदय विद्यालय में मेरिट स्कूल के आधार पर बनती है कि विद्यालय शहरी क्षेत्र में है या ग्रामीण क्षेत्र में है। अगर विद्यालय ग्रामीण क्षेत्र में है तो वह ग्रामीण कोटे में माना जाएगा और शहरी इलाके में विद्यालय है तो वह शहरी कोटे में माना जाएगा।  विद्यार्थी कहां रहता है किस क्षेत्र में रहता है यह मायने नहीं रखता जब नवोदय विद्यालय का रिजल्ट बनता है ।

जवाहर नवोदय विद्यालय कक्षा 6 से कक्षा 12 तक का रेजिडेंशियल विद्यालय हैं जो सन 1986 भारत सरकार द्वारा चलाई  गई  एक संस्था हैं और सीबीएसई बोर्ड द्वारा मांन्यता  प्राप्त हैं। 

उत्तर : जवाहर नवोदय विद्यालय में एडमिशन के लिए आप ऑनलाइन एप्लीकेशन फॉर्म भर सकते हैं अगर आप ऑनलाइन  अप्लाई  नहीं  करना चाहते हैं तो आप अपने जिला के जवाहर नवोदय  विद्यालय में जा कर एडमिशन के लिए अप्लाई कर सकते हैं, जवाहर नवोदय विद्यालय में सभी कक्षाओं में एडमिशन नहीं होता हैं, जवाहर नवोदय विद्यालय में सिर्फ कक्षा 6 , कक्षा 9 और कक्षा 11 में एडमिशन होता हैं सभी कक्षाओं में नहीं होता हैं।  

कुछ महत्वपूर्ण बिंदु: 

इन कक्षाओं में दाखिला लेने पहले आप जान ले की आप जवाहर नवोदय विद्यालय में एडमिशन के लिए अप्लाई कब करें। 

 1.अगर आपने अपने  बच्चें का दाखिला कक्षा 6 में करवाना चाहते हैं तो आपका बच्चा कक्षा 5 में पढ़ रहा होना चाहिए और तभी आप जवाहर नवोदय विद्यालय में कक्षा 6 के पेपर के लिए अपने बच्चे का एप्लीकेशन फॉर्म भर सकते हैं और जो टेस्ट लिया जाता हैं अड्मिशन के लिए उसको जवाहर नवोदय विद्यालय में JNVST Entrance Exam कहते हैं और यहाँ टेस्ट हर साल होता हैं सिर्फ कक्षा 6  में 80 बच्चें JNVST Entrance Test के जरिये लिये जाते है।

 2. अगर आपने अपने  बच्चें का दाखिला कक्षा 9 में करवाना चाहते हैं तो आपका बच्चा कक्षा 8 में पढ़ रहा होना चाहिए और तभी आप जवाहर नवोदय विद्यालय में कक्षा 9 के पेपर के लिए अपने बच्चे का एप्लीकेशन फॉर्म भर सकते हैं और जो टेस्ट लिया जाता हैं अड्मिशन के लिए उसको जवाहर नवोदय विद्यालय में JNVST Lateral Entry Entrance Exam कहते हैं और यहाँ टेस्ट हर साल होता हैं लेकिन इसमें कक्षा 6 की तरह 80 बच्चें नहीं लिए जाते हैं, कक्षा 9 में सिर्फ उतने ही बच्चे लिये जाते हैं जो बच्चे कक्षा 6, 7, 8, में किसी कारण से विद्यालय से चले जाते हैं जो बच्चे विद्यालय छोड़ कर जाते हैं उनकी स्थान की पूर्ति के लिए कक्षा 9 दाखिला लिया जाता हैं।

3. अगर आप आपने अपने  बच्चें का दाखिला जवाहर नवोदय विद्यालय कक्षा 11  में करवाना चाहते हैं तो आपका बच्चा कक्षा 10 पास होना चाहिए  और तभी आप अपने बच्चे का एडमिशन के लिए एप्लीकेशन फॉर्म भर सकते हैं सबसे महत्वपूर्ण बात कक्षा 11 में दाखिले के लिए किसी भी प्रकार का कोई टेस्ट नहीं हैं जवाहर नवोदय विद्यालय कक्षा 11 में मेरिट (MERIT) के आधार पर चयन होता हैं और कक्षा 11 में हर साल सिर्फ कुछ ही बच्चे रखे जाते हैं ऐ निर्भर करता है की कक्षा 11 में कुल कितनी सीट खली हैं  कक्षा 11  में सिर्फ उतने ही बच्चे लिये जाते हैं जो बच्चे कक्षा 9 , 10 में किसी कारण से विद्यालय से चले जाते हैं जो बच्चे विद्यालय छोड़ कर जाते है। 

 जवाहर नवोदय विद्यालय में कक्षा 10 में मिनी माइग्रेशन होता हैं  मिनी माइग्रेशन का मलतब होता हैं अगर स्टूडेंट्स कम्मेर्न्स या आर्ट रखना चाहता हैं और उस विद्यालय में स्ट्रीम न  होने के कारण स्टूडेंट्स उसी प्रदेश के किसी  और जिले के जवाहर नवोदय विद्यालय में ट्रांसफर कर दिया जाता हैं उसे मिनी माइग्रेशन कहते हैं उनकी स्थान की पूर्ति के लिए कक्षा 11 में अतरिक्त बच्चे रखे जाते हैं।
