NEET 2020 Topper (ST) Marks Issue: After claims of errors, NTA denies reports
NTA declared the NEET 2020 Results. Soon after the announcement of results, a candidate has allegedly challenged error in Neet 2020 OMR Sheets and result reporting on the part of NTA. Soon the news of 'NTA's error in NEET 2020 ST Topper Result' went viral. NTA has, since, denied the reports and issued a strict message. Calling out the news as 'totally fake, fabricated and one-sided', NTA has shared that a complaint would be filed under the IT Act at Noida center.
The Neet aspirant has reportedly spoken with Hindustan Times and claimed, “My despair turned into delightful surprise today when NTA today accepted its mistake and released corrected result sheet in which I got 650 marks and was adjudged All India Topper of NEET 2020 in Scheduled Tribe category. My General category All India Rank is 3577.”
In reply, NTA has released a note clarifying that it was not the exact cause. The circular reads that the results were declared on October 16, 2020, following which parents and candidates started progressingNTA through email and on media/ social media with issues of OMR Answer Sheets being changed and Variation in Score Card declared on October 16 (which is now available on ntaneet.nic.in).
NTA also clarifies that NEET Result 2020 declared 'after thorough scrutiny' and assured all aspirants that the result declared by NTA is correct. It has also issued a stern warning.
NTA states, 'In this context, it is clarified that all genuine grievances will be entertained by the NTA. However, manipulated and fabricated cases will be viewed seriously and NTA will be forced to take legal action as per laws of the land against such candidates including cancellation of their candidature or other unscrupulous agents representing such candidates.'
