Types of Support 

Types of Beam 

धरन (Beam) :-  

Beam  एक ऐसा Linear structural member है जिसपर सदैव Transverse Load लगता है | Beam की लंबाई उसके C/S के तुलना मे काफी अधिक होती है | 

 Types of Support ( आलम्बो के प्रकार):-

1. Roller Support 

2. Hinged Support

3. Fixed Support

1.Roller support :-

वह Support जो Verticle Motion को रोकता है तथा Horizontal और Rotational Motion को Allow करता है उसे Roller Support कहते है |

2.Hinged Support :-

वह Support जो Horizantal और Vertical Motion को रोकता हो और Rotation को Allow करता हो उसे Hinged Support कहते है |

3.Fixed Support (आबध्द आलम्ब) :- 

वह Support जो तीनों Motions को रोकता हो उसे Fixed Support कहते है |

Note :-  Roller Support, Roker Support तथा Simple Support का व्यवहार एक समान ही होता है| अत: ये तीनो सिर्फ Verticle Reaction देते है |

2.Cantilever beam

3.Overhanging beam

4.Fixed beam

5.Continuous beam
