SIMPLE INTO COMPOUND

Rule-1: Present Participle Simple Sentence Compound Sentence এ পরিবর্তনের নিয়ম :

Present Participle এর বাকী অংশটি যে Tense এ থাকে, Present Participle কেও সেই একই Tense-এ গঠন করতে হয় একই Subject দিয়ে Sentence দুটির মাঝে and বসে।

Simple: Drinking water, the writer wanted to save money.

Compound: The writer drank water and wanted to save money.

Simple: I went outside the cabin (having forgotten)/ (forgetting) him.

Compound: I forgot him and went outside the cabin.

Rule-2: Being Simple Sentence Compound sentence এ পরিণত করার নিয়ম :

Being এর বাকী অংশটি যে Tense এ থাকে Being- কেও সেই একই Tense এ গঠন করতে হয়। Sentence দুটির মাঝে and বসে।

N: B: Being যুক্ত বাক্যে Subjects না থাকলে একই Subject "being" অংশের প্রথমে বসে।

Simple: Being honest, he could not tell a lie.

Compound: He was honest and could not tell a lie.

Simple: The weather being cold, we can not go out.

Compound: The weather is cold and we can not go out.

Rule-3: Perfect Participle Simple Sentence Compound Sentence এ পরিবর্তনের নিয়ম:

Subject + Perfect Participle Past Perfect বসে + form বসে + and বসে + বাকী অংশ বসে।

Simple: Having forgotten him, I went out. 

Compound: I had forgotten him and went out. 

Simple: (Having closed)/(Closing) the door, I went back to work. 

Compound: I closed the door and went back to work.

Rule-4: Too+to Simple Sentence Compound Sentence-এ পরিণত করতে হলে নিচের নিয়মটি প্রয়োগ করতে হয়। Too এর জায়গায় very বসে, এছাড়া to এর পূর্ব পর্যন্ত আর কোন পরিবর্তন হয়না + and বসে + পুনরায় Subject বসে + Tense অনুযায়ী cannot / could not বসে + to এর পরের অংশ থেকে শেষ পর্যন্ত বসে।

Simple: He is too weak to walk. 

Compound: He is very weak and he can not walk.

Simple: They were too nice to use just at present.

Compound: They were very nice and could not use at present.

Simple: She was too busy to meet him. 

Compound: She was very busy and she could not meet him.
