Transformation of Sentences: Assertive to Interrogative

Rule-1: অর্থের পরিবর্তন না করে সাহায্যকারী Verb যুক্ত Assertive Sentence কে Interrogative-এ রূপান্তর করার সময় যদি Sentence টি Affirmative হয় তাহলে নিচের নিয়মটি ব্যবহার করতে হয় :

Auxiliary verb প্রথমে বসে + n't বসে + Subject বসে + বাকি অংশ বসে + প্রশ্নবোধক চিহ্ন বসে। A: Assertive Sentence will Interrogative করার সময় won't হয়;am থাকলে ain't; shall থাকলে shan't এবং can থাকলে can't হয়।

যেমন:

Assertive: He is abset from the meeting. 

Interrogative: Isn't he absent from the meeting?

Assertive: I was sincere to my duties? 

Interrogative: Wasn't I sincere to my duties?

Rule-2 Auxiliary verb Negative Assertive Sentence কে Intterrogative করার সময় Negative শব্দটি উঠে যায় এবং সাহায্যকারী Verbটি প্রথমে বসে।

Assertive: He is not a good student.

Interrogative: Is he a good student?

Assertive: He was not irresponsible. 

Interrogative: Was he irresponsible? 

Assertive: I shall not go to college tomorrow.

Interrogative: Shall I go to college tomorrow?

Rule-3 : সাহায্যকারী Verb ও Auxiliary verb বিহীন Assertive Sentence কে Interrogative করার সময় Subject Tense Don't/Doesn't/Did'nt বসে + Subject বসে + মূল Verb-এর Present form বসে + মূল Verb এর পরের অংশ বসে + প্রশ্নবোধক চিহ্ন বসে।

Assertive: He liked the late spring. 

Interrogative: Didn't he like the late spring?

Assertive: She likes white gloves. 

Interrogative: Doesn't she like white gloves?

Rule-4: Assertive sentence-এ Never- Interrogative করার সময় ever হয় এবং nothing থাকলে anything হয় ।

Assertive: I never drink tea. 

Interrogative: Do I ever drink tea?

Assertive: There was nothing to do.

Interrogative: Was there anything to do?

বি:দ্র:. তবে nothing যদি assertive sentence এর subject হয় তবে তাকে Interrogative করার সময় উক্ত Nothing এর জায়গায় what ব্যবহার করতে হয়। যেমন : 

Assertive: Nothing can ruin him. 

Interrogative: What can ruin him?

Rule-5: everybody/everyone/all কে Interrogative করার সময় এদের পরিবর্তে প্রথমে Who বসে + don't/doesn't/didn't + মূল Verb এর Present form বসে + মূল Verb এর পরের অংশ বসে + প্রশ্নবোধক চিহ্ন বসে।

Assertive: Everybody wishes to be happy. 

Interrogative: Who doesn't wish to be happy?

Assertive: All loves flowers. 

Interrogative: Who doesn't love flowers?

Assertive: Everyone hates a liar. 

Interrogative: Who doesn't hate a liar?

Rule-6: Nobody/None/no one Interrogative করতে হলে এদের পরিবর্তে who বসে + বাকী অংশ বসে + প্রশ্নবোধক চিহ্ন বসে।  

Assertive: Nobody could ever count my love for you.

Interrogative: Who could ever count my love for you?

Or, Could anybody ever count my love for you?

Assertive: No one can do this.

Interrogative: Who can do this? 

Or, Can anyone do this?

Assertive: Friendship is nothing but a name. 

Interrogative: What is friendship but a name?

Assertive: If you prick us, we bleed. 

Interrogative: If you prick us, do we do bleed?

Assertive: It does not much matter though we are late. 

Interrogative: What though we are late?

Assertive: It is no use wasting time in mere idleness. 

Interrogative: Why waste time in mere idleness?

Assertive: It does not matter if we lose the game. 

Interrogative: What though we lose the game?
