Transformation of Sentences: Exclamatory to Assertive
Rule-1: Exclamatory Sentence Assertive
Structure: Subject + verb + (a) + verb/great adjective + বাকি অংশ।
Exclamatory: What a fine bird it is!
Assertive: It is a very fine bird.
Exclamatory: What a fool he is!
Assertive: He is a great fool.
N.B.: Noun-এর আগে great & Adjective-এর আগে very বসবে
Rule-2 Hurrah যুক্ত Exclamtory Sentence কে Assertive করতে হলে Hurrah-এর পরিবর্তে it is a matter of joy that + Hurrah
Exclamatory: Hurrah! we have won the game.
Assertive: It is a matter of joy that we have won the game.
Rule-3: (a) If Exclamatory Sentence প্রথমে subject বসে + wish বসে + if- এর পরের অংশ বসে।
Structure: Subject + wish + if এর পরের অংশ
Exclamatory: If I were a king!
Assertive: I wish I were a king.
Exclamatory: If I were a millionaire!
Assertive: I wish I were a millionaire.
(b) Exclamatory Sentence টি had দ্বারা শুরু হলে প্রথমে Subject বসে + wish বসে + পুনরায় Subject বসে + had বসে + বাকী অংশ বসে।
Exclamatory: Had I the wings of a bird!
Assertive: I wish I had the wings of a bird.
Exclamatory: Had I been a king!
Assertive: I wish I had been a king.
Rule-4: Exclamatory Sentence, Alas দ্বারা শুরু হলে Assertive করার সময় Alas এর পরিবর্তে It is a matter of sorrow that + Alas এর পরে অংশ বসে।
Exclamatory: Alas! He has failed.
Assertive: It is a matter of sorrow that he has failed.
Rule-5: Exclamatory Sentence, Fie 269 Assertive করার সময় Fie এর পরিবর্তে It is shameful that + এর পরের অংশ বসে।
Exclamatory: Fie! he looks down upon the poor.
Assertive: It is shameful that he looks down upon the poor.
Rule-6: Would that Exclamatory Sentence হলে প্রদত্ত Subject + wish + would that এর পরের অংশ বসে।
যেমন :
Exclamatory: Would that I could be a child again!
Assertive: I wish I could be a child again.
Rule-7: O that দ্বারা Exclamatory Sentence শুরু হলে Assertive করার সময় প্রদত্ত subject + wish + O that এর পরের অংশ বসে।
যেমন :
Exclamatory: O that I were a poet!
Assertive: I wish I were a poet!

Exclamatory: O that I were young again!
Assertive: I wish I were young again.
Exclamatory: Oh for a good house!
Assertive: I wish I had a good house.
Exclamatory: What a piece of work is man!
Assertive: Man is a great piece to work.
Exclamatory: Fie! he does not look after his old father.
Assertive: It is shameful that he does not look after his old father.
