                                       Sentence ( वाक्य )

शब्दों का ऐसा समूह  जो पूर्ण अर्थ व्यक्त करता है उसे sentence सेंटेंस ( वाक्य ) कहते हैं।

Sentence पांच प्रकार के होते हैं –

1. Assertive sentence ( असेरटिव  सेंटेंस) –कथानात्मक वाक्य

2. Negative ( नेगेटिव ) – प्रश्नवाक्य

3. Imperative Sentence ( इंपेरेटिव सेंटेंस ) – आज्ञा सूचक वाक्य

4. Optative Sentence   (ऑप्टेटिव सेंटेंस) –इच्छा बोधक

5. Exclamatory sentence (एक्स्लेमेटरी सेंटेंस ) – विस्मयादिबोधक वाक्य


1. Assertive sentence ( असेरटिव सेंटेंस) – इसके दो भेद होते हैं –

A). Affirmative ( अफ्फर्मटिवे ) – जिस वाक्य से स्वीकार का बोध हो उसे Affirmative ( अफ्फर्मटिवे ) कहते हैं। जैसे – I eat mango.

B). Negative ( नेगेटिव ) – जिस वाक्य से  इंकार का बोध हो उसे Negative ( नेगेटिव )  कहते हैं। जैसे –I do eat mango.

2. Interrogrative sentence ( इंटररोग्रेटिव सेंटेंस ) – जिस वाक्य से प्रश्न का बोध हों उसे Interrogrative sentence ( इंटररोग्रेटिव सेंटेंस ) कहते हैं। जैसे – Is Ram a boy? What is your name?

3. Imperative Sentence ( इंपेरेटिव सेंटेंस ) – जिस वाक्य से अनुरोध, सलाह आदेश इत्यादी  का बोध हो उसे Imperative Sentence ( इंपेरेटिव सेंटेंस ) कहते हैं। जैसे – Go there sentence help me. Read eight hours daily .

4. Optative Sentence  ( ऑप्टेटिव सेंटेंस ) –जिस वाक्य से इच्छा या भाव का बोध होता है उसे Optative Sentence  ( ऑप्टेटिव सेंटेंस )  कहते हैं। जैसे – May you live long. May God help me.

5. Exclamatory sentence ( एक्स्लेमेटरी सेंटेंस ) – जिस वाक्य से खुशी , अफसोस और विस्मय का बोध हों उसे Exclamatory sentence ( एक्स्लेमेटरी सेंटेंस ) कहते हैं। जैसे – Well done ! Alas !! I have not lost my chance.    Oh ! Rajeev Gandhi is no more.
