past continuous/Imperfect tense in Hindi ,पास्ट कंटीन्यूअस/इंपरफेक्ट टेंस,

 (a ). जिस Tense में क्रिया लगातार रूप से बीते हुए समय में कार्य करने की विधि को बताते रहे तो उसे past continuous/imperfect tense कहते हैं ।


(b). हिंदी  वाक्य  की पहचान – मुख्य क्रिया में रहा, रही लगे रहते हैं तथा कर्ता  के अनुसार past tense की सहायता क्रिया था, थे, थी लगे रहते हैं । 

जैसे– मैं पत्र लिख रहा था। वह किताब पढ़ रहा था।

 (c). अंग्रेजी बनाने के नियम – पहले कर्ता (subject) की अंग्रेजी लिख कर तब सहायक क्रिया को अंग्रेजी was या were कर्ता के अनुसार लिखते हैं। इसके बाद मुख्य क्रिया की अंग्रेजी लिख कर उसमें ‘ing’ जोड़ दिया जाता है। कर्म रहने पर अंत में उसकी अंग्रेजी लिख दी जाती है ।

                S  +  Was/were  +   PV²  +  ing   +  O.

मैं पत्र लिख रहा था ।        I was writing a letter.

वह किताब पढ़ रहा था।    He was reading a book.

Note :-  सभी person के plural  साथ were का प्रयोग होता हैl

Negative वाक्य  रहने पर अंग्रेजी बनाने का नियम–

                S + Was/were + not +  PV¹ + ing + O.

 मैं पत्र नहीं लिख रहा था।     I was not write a letter.

वह किताब नहीं पढ़ रहा था।  He was not reading a book.

Interrogative वाक्य रहने पर अंग्रेजी बनाने का नियम 

क्या मैं पत्र लिख रहा था।   Was I writting a letter?

क्या वह किताब पढ़ रहा था।  Was he reading a book?
