अब हम ऐसे वाक्यों पर विचार करेंगें ।। जिनके अंत में 'होता है', 'रहता है', 'लगता है' इत्यादि रहते हैं । ऐसे वाक्यों से जब किसी का स्वभाव सूचित हो तब उनकी अँगरेजी am/is/are से बनेगी । जैसे—

दूध मीठा होता है ।  Milk is sweet.

दूध उजला होता है ।  Milk is white.

दूध लाभदायक होता है ।  Milk is useful.

चीनी मीठी लगती है ।  Sugar is sweet.

आदमी मरणशील होता है ।  Man is mortal.

शिक्षक दयालु होते हैं ।  Teachers are kind.

सूर्य गरम रहता है ।  The sun is hot.

सिंह बहादुर होता है ।  The lion is brave.

बच्चे नटखट होते हैं ।  Children are naughty.

Note : milk, sugar, ete Uncountable Nouns है । अतः सामान्य अर्थ में इनके पहले the का प्रयोग नहीं होगा, यहाँ Teachers और Children के पहले भी the का प्रयोग नहीं होगा, क्योंकि जब Plural Noun से पूरी जाति का बोध होता है, तब इसके पहले the का प्रयोग नहीं होता है।

बर्फ गर्म नहीं होती है ।  Ice is not hot.

सोना काला नहीं होता है ।  Gold is not black.

माँ क्रूर नहीं होती है ।  The mother is not cruel.

क्या दूध लाभदायक होता है ?  Is milk useful ?

क्या साधु दयालु होते हैं ?  Are saints kind ?

क्या बच्चें बुरे होते हैं ?  Are children bad ?

बर्फ ठंडी होती है ।  ice is cold.

दूध मीठा लगता है ।  Milk is sweet. 

पानी उपयोगी होता है ।  Water is useful. 

कोयला काला होता है ।  Coal is black.

चीनी मीठी होती है ।  Sugar is sweet. 

आग गरम होती है ।  Fire is hot. 

आम मीठा होता है ।  The Mango is sweet.

आदगी मरणशील होता है ।  Man is mortal. 

गाय सीधी होती है ।  The cow is gentle. 

सिंह मजबूत होता है ।  The lion is strong.

बच्चें नटखट होते हैं ।  Children are naughty. 

साँप डरावना होता है ।    The snake is fearful. 

साधु दयालु होते हैं ।  Saints are kind.

गायें नेक होती है ।   Cows are gentle. 

बिल्ली कुरतीली होती है ।  The cat is active. 

किसान परिश्रमी होते हैं ।  Farmers are laborious.

शिक्षक दयालु होते हैं ।  Teachers are kind

माँ दयालु होती है ।  The Mother is kind.

साँप वफादार नहीं होता है ।  The snake is not faithful.

कोयल उजली नहीं होती है ।  The cuckoo is not white. 

दूध काला नहीं होता है ।  Milk is not black. 

साधु बेईमान नहीं होते हैं ।  Saints are not dishonest. 

माँ क्रूर नहीं होती है ।  The mother is not cruel.

क्या नाय नेक होती है ?  Is the cow gentle ?
