During his school days he was one of the very meritorious students. He was an intelligent student, he was very fond of mathematics and physics. In which he has always proved to be excellent, but some people believed that he had failed in maths in the fourth class. This is just a deceptive thing, because Albert Einstein was very brilliant in this matter. He had underperformed only once in his life, when he took the entrance exam for a prestigious school in Zurich, Switzerland, in which he could not do well, but the subject was just non-scientific for him.
