Adjectival Participle Phrase (Misplaced Words)

যে participle phrase একটা adjective-এর মত noun-কে modify করে তাকে Adjectival Participle phrase বলা হয়। এ ধরনের phrase সব সময়ই qualified noun-টির পরে বসে, কখনোই আগে বসতে পারে না। যেমন, 

Right: The girl standing there is my sister.

Wrong: The standing there girl is my sister.

Right: Do you know the man wearing glasses? 

Wrong: Do you know the wearing glasses man?

অনুরূপভাবে, যে সব prepositional কিংবা Infinitive phrase কোন noun-কে modify করে সেগুলোও কখনো noun-টির আগে বসতে পারে না। যেমন,

Wrong: The in the garden man is my father.

Right: The man in the garden is my father.

Wrong : The to come here man is a poet.

Right: The man to come here is a poet.
