Adverbial clause of time (Misplaced Words)

Adverbial clause of time সাধারণতঃ principal clause-এর আগেও বসে, আবার পরেও বসে। যেমন,

When I visited him, he was very busy.

He was very busy when I visited him.

The patient had died before the doctor came. 

Before the doctor came the patient had died.

কিন্তু কোন কোন adverbial clause of time সব সময়ই সাধারণতঃ principal clause এর পরে বসে। যেমন,

Three years have passed since his father died. 

Please send the money as early as you can.

I stayed there as long as he did. 

উপরোক্ত বাক্য দু'টির adverbial clause দু'টিকে বাক্যের অগ্রভাগে আনলে ভাল দেখাবে না। যেমন,

Since his father died three years have passed.

As early as you can please send the money.

As long as he did I stayed there. 

এ ধরনের বাক্য সাধারণত: ইংরেজীতে দেখা যায় না।
