Adverbials (Misplaced Words)

Adverbials প্রধানতঃ তিন প্রকার: Adverbials of Manner, Adverbials of Time এবং Adverbials of place. 

নিয়ম অনুসারে Adverbial-এর অবস্থান হচ্ছে verb-এর পরে। intransitive verb-এর ক্ষেত্রে verb-এর immediately পরে adverbial বসবে। যেমন,

Right: The boy reads attentively.

Wrong: The boy attentively reads.

Right : He was born in 1960. 

Wrong: He was in 1960 born.

কিন্তু transitive verb-এর ক্ষেত্রে adverbial-এর অবস্থান হবে object এর পরে বাক্যের শেষে। যেমন,

Right: He wrote the essay very carefully.

Wrong: He wrote very carefully the essay.

Right: I caught the boy by the neck. 

Wrong: I caught by the neck the boy.
