Determiners (Misplaced Words)

a, the, this, that, my, our, one, two, first, second, many, some, every- এই ধরনের যে শব্দগুলি noun এর আগে বসে সেই noun- কে modify করে তাদেরকে আমরা determiner বলে থাকি। মনে রাখতে হবে, determiner সব সময়ই noun এর আগে বসে। যেমন,

This book is mine.

Many people gathered there.

কোন অবস্থাতেই determiner-কে noun এর পরে ব্যবহার করা যাবে না। যেমন, "আমার ফুল দরকার অনেক" বাক্যটির ইংরেজী অনুবাদ -

Wrong: I need flowers many. 

Right: I need many flowers.

কখনো কখনো একই noun-এর আগে একাধিক determiner ব্যবহৃত হয়। যেমন,

Right: All the boys attended the class. Wrong: The all boys attended the class.

অর্থাৎ এক্ষেত্রে article-টি বসবে অন্য determiner টির পরে। 

Wrong: The both girls are intelligent. 

Right: Both the girls are intelligent.
