Farther vs Further

Farther vs Further: স্থানিক দূরত্ব বুঝাতে এ দু'টি শব্দকে আমরা interchangeably ব্যবহার করতে পারি। যেমন, I can't walk any farther/further.

লক্ষ্যণীয় যে, এগুলো হচ্ছে far বিশেষণটির comparative form; এদের superlative form farthest for furthest. কিন্তু যখন দূরত্ব না বুঝিয়ে "more" বা "extra" অর্থে ব্যবহৃত হয় তখন শুধুমাত্র further শব্দটি প্রযোজ্য হবে। যেমন,
