Objects (Misplaced Words)

Object হচ্ছে একটি noun বা anything equivalent to a noun যা সাধারণত transitive verb-এর immediately পরেই বসে থাকে। যেমন,

He wrote a letter.

Do you know my brother?

I believe that he is honest.

Transitive verb এবং object-এর মাঝখানে সাধারণতঃ অন্য কোন word বা phrase বসতে পারে না। যেমন,

Wrong: He put on the table the book. 

Right: He put the book on the table.

Wrong: He visits once in a month me.

Right: He visits me once in a month.

তবে কোন কোন Wh question-এ object চলে আসে subject এর আগে এবং তখন objectএবং transitive verb বিচ্ছিন্ন হয়ে যায়। যেমন, 

Which book do you want?

Whom did he marry?
