Plurals having no Singular forms

ইংরেজীতে কিছু কিছু শব্দ আছে যেগুলি সব সময়ই শুধু plural form-এ ব্যবহৃত হয়। এদেরকে singular form-এ ব্যবহার করা যায় না। যেমন,

Wrong: She did not respond to his advance.
Right: She did not respond to his advances.
 [ এখানে "advances" অর্থ কারো বন্ধুত্ব বা ভালবাসা পাবার চেষ্টা।]

Wrong: This is the worst event in the annal of our politics. 
Right: This is the worst event in the annals of our politics.

Wrong: We cannot fight without any arm.
Right: We cannot fight without any arms.

Wrong: Reading is a basic of education.
Right: Reading is one of the basics of education.

Wrong: Can I borrow your binocular?
Right: Can I borrow your binoculars?

Wrong: He has put on his riding breech.
Right:  He has put on his riding breeches.

Wrong: Let us play card.
Right: Let us play cards.

Wrong: He bought a clipper.
Right: He bought a pair of clippers.

Wrong: Put on your cloth.
Right: Put on your clothes.

Wrong: Please accept my condolence.
Right: Please accept my condolences.

Wrong: He began his day in a foreign country.
Right: He began his days(=his life) in a foreign country.

Wrong: He has joined the armed force.
Right: He has joined the armed forces.

Wrong: It was a forcep delivery.
Right: It was a forceps delivery.

Wrong: He wears a glass for reading.
Right: He wears glasses for reading.

Wrong: I need a new pair of glasses.
Right: I need some new glasses.

Wrong: This is a frozen good.
Right: These are frozen goods.

Wrong: He graduated with honour.
Right: He graduated with honours.

Wrong: He has started to write his memoir.
Right: He has started to write his memoirs.

Wrong: They are fighting against an odd.
Right: They are fighting against heavy odds.

Wrong: As he earns a lot, his outgoing is also heavy.
Right: As he earns a lot, his outgoings are also heavy.

Wrong: Put on your pant.
Right: Put on your pants

Wrong: He took down my particular.
Right: He took down my particulars.

Wrong : It hardly rains in this part.
Right: It hardly rains in these parts.

Wrong: Give my respect to your father.
Right: Give my respects to your father.
Right

Wrong: This scissor is very sharp.
Right: These scissors are very sharp.

Wrong: I have bought a pair of scissors.
Right: I have bought a new short.
Right: I have bought a pair of new shorts.

Wrong: The shopkeeper is now counting his taking.
Right: The shopkeeper is now counting his
takings.

Wrong: I am not on a good term with her.
Right: I am not on good terms with her.

Wrong: They live in the tropic.
Right: They live in the tropics.

Wrong: Father bought me a trouser.
Right: Father bought me some trousers.
Right: Father bought me a pair of trousers.
