Society vs Community : 

Uncountable noun হিসেবে Society বলতে আমরা বুঝি বিশেষ নিয়ম-কানুনে আবদ্ধ এক বা একাধিক দেশের সাধারণ জনগোষ্ঠিকে। যেমন,

This is a common problem of the modern European society.

পক্ষান্তরে, community হচ্ছে একটি countable noun যা বলতে বিশেষ কোন গ্রাম, শহর বা এলাকার সমগ্র জনগোষ্টিকে বুঝায়। যেমন, 

We are doing this for the good of the community. 

বিশেষ ধর্মাবলম্বী জনগোষ্ঠিকেও community বলা হয়। যেমন,

The Muslim community.
