Relative pronoun হিসেবে which ব্যবহৃত হয় শুধু বস্তুবাচক noun (একবচন অথবা বহুবচন) এর ক্ষেত্রে। যেমন,

I have lost the book/s which you gave me.

পক্ষান্তরে, that ব্যবহৃত হয় এক বা একাধিক ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুকে refer করতে। যেমন,

The boy/s that came here will help me. 

The boy killed the cat/s which disturbted him.
