Boston Bruins Re-Sign Forward

The Bruins have re-signed Jack Studnicka to a two-year contract. He will have an AAV of $762,500.

Studnicka will be pushing for a spot on the Bruins' NHL roster this upcoming season. Although he is viewed as one of their best prospects, the 23-year-old just hasn't been able to take that next step. This is still the case even with the Bruins' center depth being weak. Perhaps 2022-23 will finally be the campaign that he cracks their lineup regularly.

In 15 games this past season with Boston, Studnicka had three assists and a minus-5 rating. Although he did not make much noise at the NHL level this campaign, he did put up his best season down in Providence. In 41 AHL games on the year, he scored 10 goals and recorded 35 points. Let's see if that kind of offense can translate over to the NHL this year.
