Penguins Re-Sign Forward

The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed forward Kasperi Kapanen to a two-year deal worth $3.2 million annually.

The twenty-five-year-old scored 11 goals, and 21 assists, for 32 total points in 79 games this past season. In seven playoff games, Kapanen recorded three assists.

In 321 career NHL games between the Leafs and Penguins, Kapanen has recorded 63 goals and 89 assists for 152 total points.

Kapanen is a solid middle-six winger and, after a disappointing 2021-22 season, this will likely be his last chance to prove himself in Pittsburgh.

He will be an unrestricted free agent upon his contract's expiry.
