Conor Coady joins Everton on loan as Wolves sign Guedes for £27.5m

  • Coady wants to play regular football ahead of World Cup
  • Guedes arrives from Valencia to boost Wolves attack

Everton’s new signing Conor Coady has pledged to “help the club move forward” after completing a season-long loan move from Wolves. Bruno Lage sanctioned the temporary exit of his captain to allow him to play regular football in the buildup to the World Cup. Everton will have an option to buy the England centre-back at the end of the season.

Wolves, meanwhile, have made the Valencia forward Gonçalo Guedes their second summer signing in a £27.5m deal.
